Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve.
This wonderful tour starts and ends in Nairobi. It is assumed that you will be already in Nairobi before the start of the tour. Either, you can fly from your home country and book a hotel around Nairobi, or you could be a Kenyan resident around Nairobi. Our tour guide shall come and pick you up from our agreed pickup point and he shall drive you to Samburu Game Reserve. The national reserve is about 350 km from Nairobi. During the drive, you shall make a stopover at the equator and make several experiments like the popular water experiment to witness the difference between the Northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere. Upon arrival in Samburu National Reserve, you shall check in your lodge, take lunch, refresh a bit and later drive to the park for the afternoon game drive. After the game drive, you shall drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Full day game drive – Samburu National Reserve.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to the park, check in and later start your morning game drive. The game reserve is located at the banks of river Ewaso Ng’iro offers it the benefits that attract several species of wildlife and birdlife. The water system provides a suitable ecosystem where animals can thrive. During the visit, there are lots of wildlife species to look out for and these include lions, cheetah, Cape buffalo, Elephants, Oryx, giraffes, Impala, warthogs, olive baboons, African leopard, waterbucks, and others. During this full day game drive, you shall be in a position to witness different ranges of wildlife and several wildlife experiences. You shall retreat from the park late in the evening and drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Samburu National reserve – Ol pejeta Conservancy
After a wonderful breakfast, you shall depart Samburu National reserve to Ol pejeta via the Nanyuki town. Ol pejeta and sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary is well known for chimpanzees. During this day, you shall get a chance to watch the chimpanzees and visit the Jane Goodall center at the Conservancy and have a chance at the chimpanzee sanctuary to have a glimpse of these mighty rare endangered species. After lunch at your lodge, you will freshen up and later spend the rest of the day carrying out a game drive while you are looking out for giraffes, Elephants, black rhinos, lions and others. Later, you shall retreat to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Olpejeta Conservancy – Lake National park.
Early in the morning, you shall depart, Ol Pejeta for Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you shall make a stopover at the magical Thompson falls.(if you wish at extra cost for entrance fees). Upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge, have some lunch and later drive to the park for a wonderful sunset game drive until 6.00 Pm. Lake Nakuru National Park is located in the Great Rift Valley region and it is one of the freshest lakes in Kenya. The park is famous for its herds of buffaloes, White Rhinos, Rothschild Giraffes, Baboons, and some flocks of flamingos.Later in the evening, you shall check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
Early in the morning, you shall drive to Masai Mara which is situated at the Tanzania-Kenya border in the Mara region. Maasai Mara is famous for the great wildebeest migration and several wildlife species. It is the most visited national parks or destination in Kenya. Upon arrival in Maasai Mara, you shall check in your lodge, take lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive. Later, you shall drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Full day game drive – Maasai Mara
Masai Mara is one of the national parks in Kenya where it is possible to spot the big 5-lions, Elephants, Leopards, Rhinoceros, and the Buffalo. These animals are easily viewable without spending countless hours driving through the park. The park is rich in wildlife- there are so many wildlife species that inhabit within the park and these include hartebeest, hyenas, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, warthogs, crocodiles, Oribi, hippopotamus, East African cheetah, and others. Early in the morning, you shall drive to the park gate and go through the normal entrance procedures. And later, you shall start your early morning game drive; this early morning game drive offers the opportune time to spot the nocturnal feasting on their prey. It is possible to spot the carnivores chasing its prey as a way of having an assured meal. Later, you will drive back to the lodge, take some breakfast, and pack lunch in lunch boxes and drive back to the park for the mid-afternoon and afternoon game drive. If you are fortunate enough and you come during the great wildebeest migration which normally occurs around June-October; you shall be in a position to spot millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Thomson’s gazelles, Topis, elands and zebras are seen crossing from Serengeti National park to Masai Mara in search of the green pastures. Later, you shall return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall pack your bags and start your journey back to Nairobi with game drives on yourway out of the park if staying insde the game reserve. This marks the end of this wonderful 7 days Kenya safari with chimpanzee and wildlife safari.
