Talk about safaris in Tanzania and what comes in mind is the famous Northern Circuit with the most famous parks in East Africa including The Serengeti, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater.
This incredible 6 days safari from Arusha and back to Arusha includes these all. Lake Manyara is famous for the lush green nature of the park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley with lots of game and birdlife alike. Most famously for its legendary tree climbing lions. Tarangire with the largest herds of the biggest elephants you can see in Africa and the old majestic baobab trees, Ngorongoro Crater harboring the Big Five and the endless plains of Serengeti where the famous herds of the annual wildebeests migration graze for the most part of the year, all these are the features of this wonderful 6 days Camping Safari in Tanzania.
Arusha – Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast in the morning, we drive to Loduare Gate of the Ngorongoro Conservation area and register to transit the area headed to Serengeti National Park. We will have a brief stop at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and can have a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge if you wish (at extra cost). Olduvai Gorge is where Dr Leakey Louis and his wife Mary Leakey the great archaeologists discovered fossils of the early man that suggested that Africa is the Cradle of mankind. We enter the Serengeti National Park via Naabi Hill Gate and continue with game drives for the rest of the day. Picnic lunch will be served and the afternoon spent doing game drives in the endless plains of Serengeti. Overnight at a campsite at Serengeti. All meals included.
Full day at Serengeti National Park
On your second day at Serengeti National Park, you can go for a sunrise game drive at dawn or can do the balloon safari ( balloon fees applicable), then after breakfast, you will spend the rest of the day enjoying game drives in the plains. The Serengeti National Park is the most celebrated wildlife area in Tanzania and the home to the Wildebeests Migration herds as well as lots of resident animals and birds. Depending on the time of year you can witness this incredible natural phenomenon, as well as spot many animals including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, gazelles, impalas, topis, hartebeests, buffalos, hyenas, jackals and many other animals as well as many bird species. Overnight at a Campsite at Serengeti. All meals included.
Ngorongoro Crater
Rise up early this morning and after breakfast, we drive to Ngorongoro Conservation. After arrival and registration at the Crater rim we will descend into the Crater floor for a day of game drives. A fun-filled day at the crater floor with picnic lunch we will be able to spot many animals at close range in the 8th wonder of the world also referred to as the Eden of Africa. Ngorongoro harbours the highest concentration of animals in a small area of about 21 Kilometers square only and with a little luck, you will be able to spot the Big Five on the Crater floor. At the Lake Makat at the centre of the Crater floor, we will be able to enjoy beautiful views of flamingos as well as many other aquatic bird species. Later in the afternoon we will ascend back to the Crater Rim for dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite. All meals included.
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we will be heading to the fifth largest national park in Tanzania which is very famous for its gigantic baobab trees and largest herds of African elephants. Some herds have been spotted in the tune of three hundred strong. It is also a home of rare species like the long-necked gerenuks, the fringe-eared oryx, and the rare birds like the ashy starlings. We also have a picnic lunch on this day and later in the afternoon drive out for dinner and overnight at a campsite nearby. All meals included
