This wonderful 6 day Amboseli, Maasai Mara, and Lake Nakuru national park safari in Kenya is all you need to explore the different parts of Kenya. Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park.

This tour starts and ends in Nairobi. We normally consider Nairobi as our starting point because it is the capital city of Kenya and it hosts Jomo Kenyatta International airport.  Depending on your pickup point, our tour guide shall meet and greet you. Upon meeting, the tour guide shall brief you about your whole itinerary and what to expect. Later, you shall start your journey to Amboseli National park. Amboseli National park is situated 240km away from Nairobi at the Kenya-Tanzania border. You shall travel for about 7 hours to reach the park. Upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge, take lunch, refresh a bit and get ready for an afternoon game drive. The Afternoon game drive offers scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro- you shall be in position to have a clear backdrop of Kibo with glaciers. Witnessing the sunset in the park is magical. It simply offers unforgettable moments.

Day 2

Full day Amboseli National Park

During this day, you shall only think about one thing, game drive.  Amboseli National park is regarded as one of the best National parks in the entire world to view free-ranging Elephants. During your visit to the park, you shall be in position to come as close as possible to the Elephants, something that you won’t find in any other national park. The park is blessed with a lot of wildlife which includes Elephants, Maasai giraffe, lion, spotted hyena, blue wildebeest, impala, and grant’s zebra, Cape buffalo, cheetah and others. Early in the morning, you shall drive to the park headquarters for clearance to enter inside the park, later; you will start the morning game drive experience. Like any other park, the morning game drive offers rare hunting and wildlife experiences which are great to look out for. After the game drive, you shall drive back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you shall rest a bit, pack your lunch boxes and drive back to the park for the game drive until late in the evening. After the game drive experience, you shall drive back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 3

Amboseli National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park.

After a wonderful tasty breakfast, you shall depart Amboseli National Park for Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you shall make a stopover at the Great Rift Valley observational site to have a wonderful sightseeing opportunity of this rift valley. The Great Rift Valley starts from Lebanon and ends in Mozambique. You will arrive at Lake Nakuru national park around Lunch time, you shall check in your lodge, take lunch, and later drive to the park for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for Flamingos- Millions of Flamingos are seen floating on the lake. During the game drive, you shall drive to the sanctuaries for the Rothschild giraffes and black and white rhinos.  Later, you shall retreat and drive back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Early in the morning, preferably after breakfast, you shall drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive. This game drive shall enable you to witness some of the popular wildlife species within the park and these include lions, cheetahs, leopards, waterbucks, eastern black rhinoceros, and southern white rhinos. After the game drive, you shall drive to the Maasai Mara National reserve. Maasai Mara is situated on the south western part of Kenya near the Tanzania border. Maasai Mara is the most visited destination in Kenya.  You will arrive at lunch time; you shall check in your hotel, have lunch and later drive to the park gate for check in. After finishing with all the park entry formalities, you shall start your afternoon game drive. There are so many wildlife species to look out during the visit to Maasai Mara and these include hartebeest, hyenas, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, warthogs, crocodiles, Oribi, hippopotamus, East African cheetah, the big five-Elephants, lions, Leopards, Rhinos, and Buffaloes and others. Later, you shall return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Full day game drive in Masai Mara

One of the reasons why the Masai Mara is the most visited wildlife conservation area in Kenya is because of the great migration- Millions of Wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Thomson’s gazelles, Topis, zebras, and Elands cross to the reserve in search of water and pasture. These animals come from Serengeti National park in Tanzania. If you are fortunate enough, you shall be in position to enjoy this wonderful experience. During this day, you shall wake up in the morning and drive to the park for an early morning game drive. Maasai Mara is stacked with wildlife-it is possible to spot the big 5 animals just a few miles away from the park gate. You shall return to the lodge for breakfast and later drive back to the park with packed lunch for the rest of the game drive session. After a wonderful game drive experience, you shall retreat to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 6

Masai Mara to Nairobi

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you shall drive back to Nairobi to mark the end of this wonderful adventure.
