Travelling solo to Tanzania for a safari tour sometimes may sound boring but also can be costly owing to the fact that doing a private safari as a single traveler means covering all the costs alone. Costs that could have been shared amongst participants in the case of a group safari; including things like the vehicle, fuel, guide fees, the Crater entry fees for the car, and the cook’s charges in the case of a camping safari. That is why we came up with our group safaris that can be joined by any one in Tanzania.

Our Shared safari is a daily departure for either 4 or 5 days camping safari starting from Arusha in Tanzania and this depending to the number of days takes participants to Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro for a 4 days package, and Additionally; Tarangire National Park in case of a 5 days group safari in Tanzania.

Solo travelers, Couples or even more people can join these daily departures for our group safari from Arusha Tanzania. These group departures offers the best choice for people to make new friends as they enjoy the beauty of Northern Tanzania and what the region has to offer.

For ultimate comfort and for the best game viewing during the safari we ensure that everyone gets a window seat so we avoid overloading the vehicles. We offer all the camping gear during the safari including the tents, sleeping pads, fresh linen and sleeping bags though you can come with your own sleeping bag. Camping is done at the designated public campsites inside and outside the parks just like the private camping safaris. Food during the safari is prepared by our professional safari cooks who also help in pitching the tents at the campsites as you spend the day enjoying game drives in the parks. Below is the itinerary for our 4 days Group Safari / Joining Safari from Arusha.

Day 1

Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Depart Arusha town at around 08.00 Am and drive to Lake Manyara National Park at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We arrive by mid morning and continue with game drives for the rest of the day with picnic lunch at one of the picnic sites inside the park. Lake Manyara is a small beautiful lush green park with plenty of elephants, giraffes, dik diks, impalas, warthogs to see as well as the legendary tree climbing lions. The park is covered by the lake for about 2 thirds of its total area and it is a birders haven where you can see a lot of aquatic birds including Egyptian geese pelicans and flamingos. Later in the afternoon we drive out of the park for overnight at Jambo Campsite or similar at Mto wa Mbu town. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2

Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the Lake Manyara Area in Mto wa Mbu we depart and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti National Park probably the most celebrated park in Tanzania and East Africa at large. We enter the Serengeti National park by lunch time with picnic lunch at the Naabi Hill Gate then spend the rest of the afternoon with game drives in the endless plains. Serengeti National Park boasts of the thousands of animals and birds as well as the annual wildebeests migration that sees more than a million and a half gnus migrate between The Serengeti and Masai Mara in Kenya. Overnight at Seronera Campsite in Central Serengeti. All meals included.

Day 3

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Breakfast at the Campsite then we spend half of the day with game drives in the plains of Serengeti. By midday we will be at Naabi Hill gate again where we take lunch and drive up to the Crater rim to Simba Campsite located directly at the rim with great views over the crater rim. We have a chance to visit a Masai boma (village) at the Ngorongoro Conservation area ( at extra cost) to learn something about the ways of life of these incredible nomadic tribesmen who have defied the wave of westernization in Africa and still practice their ancient cultures and traditions. Dinner and overnight will be at Simba Campsite at Ngorongoro.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

This morning after a very early breakfast we will descend into the Crater floor where we will spend the whole morning until midday doing game drives. At the Crater floor of the Ngorongoro Crater also referred to as the 8th wonder of the world we will have our highest chances of spotting Big Five as well as plenty of other animals at a very close range. Picnic lunch will be taken at the Hippo poolside at Ngorongoro then we will drive up the Crater rim and out of the Conservation then depart for Arusha town arriving in the late afternoon.
