The park is blanketed by amazing mountain flora that covers Mount Karisimbi, Mount Bisoke, Mount Gahinga, Mount Muhabura, and Mount Sabyinyo. Rare and endangered wildlife species like gorillas, golden monkeys, buffaloes and other species reside in the park. Get ready for an amazing safari. The safari starts and ends in Rwanda with the last stop being the Kigali genocide memorial to explore what transpired in the 1994 Rwanda genocide

Day 1

Transfer to Volcanoes national park

Early in the morning, you shall be picked up in Kigali by our tour guide and transfer you to volcanoes national park. If you are coming directly from Kigali International Airport, it is also possible to pick you at the airport and transfer you to volcanoes national park. Along the route, you shall marvel at the beautiful lush landscape of the countryside. You will enjoy the drive from Kigali to volcanoes national park as you shall be negotiating from corner to corner.  It takes about 2-3 hours to arrive in volcanoes national park from Rwanda. On arrival, you shall be transferred to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Ask for sundowner if you can however remember to know whether it is part of your accommodation bill or it’s paid separate. Day 2

Gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park

Enjoy a wonderful gorilla trekking safari in volcanoes national park. Wake up early in the morning with a charm spirit, take breakfast and wait upon your tour guide to drive you to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters, you shall receive briefing about the gorillas and you shall be grouped according to the gorilla family that you are going to trek. Each group is allocated a tour ranger who shall protect the group as well as give them hints about the possible whereabouts of the gorillas. Later, start the search for the gorillas, and after 1-8 hours, you shall be in position to spot the gorilla group family. The gorilla family is majorly composed of the silverback, which is the main male dominant gorilla. The silverback is the leader of the group. You shall have enough juveniles, baby gorillas, and mother gorillas. Watching them playing from tree to tree, rolling down the vegetation, the babies sucking their mothers, and dominant silverback guarding its family group as some of the experiences you shall witness. Take as many photos as you can. Later retreat back to the headquarters. Afterwards, move to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Day 3

Transfer back to Kigali

The transfer back to Kigali shall mark the end of the tour however before the tour retires, you shall visit the Kigali genocide memorial as way of paying tribute to those that lost their lives during the Rwanda genocide. After breakfast, you shall drive back to Kigali and on arrival; you shall transfer to Kigali genocide memorial in Gisozi. Finish the day with an understanding of Rwanda’s history.
