The lodge’s story is one of partnership and sustainability, initiated by Martin Wheeler and Antonia Hall with the Mukogodo Maasai community. Their vision was to create a haven that not only respects nature but also supports the local culture and economy. Set in the vast expanse of the Lekurruki Community Ranch, Tassia Lodge provides a secluded base from which to explore the Kenyan bush in its most authentic form. This location, while not boasting the highest density of wildlife, offers sightings of unique species like giraffe, gerenuk, and occasionally, the more elusive predators. It’s an area where the migratory paths of elephants cross during the wet season, providing a rare spectacle.
