Get the Best Value while on a Uganda Gorilla Safari Holiday with Safari Supremacy that is offering Gorilla Safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania safari tours.

We did a lot of research and picked Safari Supremacy due to other reviews. I was absolutely impressed with their services and would recommend booking with them any day. I worked with Elvice on securing permits and planning our 3 days trip. His response was prompt and everything that he arranged for us turned out perfectly. We did a budget safari in Uganda and the accommodations and food were awesome. All actually surpassed our expectations.

Emma was our driver and guide and we loved him! He took great care of my family, was always on time, and very organized.

In terms of our trip we loved seeing the variety of animals that Uganda has to offer. We took advantage of the gorilla Habituation Experience and were so happy to have the full day rather than 1 hour with them. We saw so many different types of animals and landscapes that it was almost hard to keep up with. I recommend the optional add-ons as well such as a walking tour in Lake Mburo, and the waterfall hike in Buhoma area.

I have traveled with many different companies in various countries and have to say this one was the best to work with by far. They do everything they can to make you happy.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is an experience that completely changes you. I was travelling with 3 friends and we had an amazing experience doing gorilla trekking safari in Uganda. As we had been promised we saw and spent time observing a family of gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We saw the silverbacks, several adult females, young gorillas and several little ones that were 3 years old and above. Obviously It can be very strenuous but we were fortunate that the family we saw was not too far from the trekking base so we didn’t trek too far. The guides were wonderful and very informative. Our porters were very helpful. Seeing these beautiful creatures was a humbling experience. I was very impressed with the success they are having in Uganda with preserving these endangered species and was pleased to hear that the population is growing and now it is approximately 440 species found in Uganda. See our birding safari in Uganda combined with wildlife safari for 6 days.

The gorillas are habituated, so you after you trek to find them, which can be anywhere from 45 minutes to 6 hours, you can get very close. They even walk right by you and don’t do anything, although one lightly touched my friend on the leg like he was trying to get attention. These are beautiful and peaceful creatures. The money that you pay to secure your trekking permit is allocated towards the conservation of the habitant and the primates and then with the benefit sharing program some of the funds are allocated to the development of local communities projects. I highly recommend visiting of these mountain gorillas, which after your visit you will have the lifetime unforgettable experience.

Firstly, tracking the gorillas is, or at least can be, extremely strenuous. We were pretty lucky; we were the only group looking for gorillas from our base and so could pick the closest/friendliest family and found them after about an hour and a half. But the terrain was really pretty steep and both ascending and descending (and you have to quite a bit of both because we really didn’t spend any time walking on the flat) are quite challenging. Even being around the gorillas can be quite tiring, think ski slope! It’s all perfectly doable if you are in reasonable walking shape but if we had to hike in for 3-4 hours and the same to get out it day would have been a tough.

But, don’t let any of this put you off going if you are in reasonable shape. The strenuousness of the experience just heightens how magical it is to see these amazing creatures in their natural habitat. When one of them bursts through the forest and appears a few feet away from you, it will be an experience you will never forget. We combine gorilla trekking tours in Uganda with Tanzania safari tours at affordable prices.

During the summer the tours fill quickly so if you want to go make sure you buy tickets early. I thought our tracking was handled extremely well and made the experience enjoyable. The hike really is straight up and down at high altitude so if you are older or not in good shape consider this activity carefully. I talked to other participants that did a different gorilla tracking who climbed for 5 hours before they found the gorilla group and then took 1 1/2 hours to hike out but it was so good.
