Nairobi to Amboseli National park.
Amboseli national park being near Mount Kilimanjaro national park or precisely Mount Kilimanjaro, you shall have wonderful backdrop views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru peak. The free-ranging Elephants that roam around the park are one of the reasons why a visit to Amboseli national park is always desired by tourist. The park is one of the destinations in Africa to get so close to the Elephants. Early in the morning after breakfast, our tour guide shall come and meet you at your pickup point and later drive you to Amboseli national park along the loitoktok road, the journey takes about 5-6 hours and upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge, have lunch and later proceed for an afternoon game drive in Amboseli national park. You shall have magical views of Mount Kilimanjaro before sunset and you shall take several memorable backdrop photos some of which shall include the different wildlife species that inhabit the park. Later, travel back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Full day game drive
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall depart the lodge with packed picnic lunch to begin this amazing full day game drive. Upon arrival at the park, you shall have relaxing views of Mount Kilimanjaro. During this full day game drive which occurs in intervals- the morning game drive, mid-afternoon game drive and afternoon game drive; you shall look out for several wildlife species that inhabit within the park. Some of the species include free-ranging Elephants, Maasai giraffe, lion, spotted hyena, blue wildebeest, impala, grant’s zebra, Cape buffalo, cheetah and others. With over 500 species of birds, you shall have clear photos of some of the bird species that call Amboseli their home. Lunch shall be taken at the view area. Take an afternoon game drive as you wait to have clear sunset backdrop experiences of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later, retire back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
Very early in the morning, you shall take a morning game drive in Amboseli national park. This morning game drive shall offer you the opportunity to look out for missed wildlife experience. Later, you shall return to the lodge by 9am, take breakfast, relax for few minutes and later start your journey to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is the main source of Kenya’s fish –there are several species of fish in this fresh water body within the Great Rift Valley. You shall take a simple walk around the lake and later, take a boat cruise along this magical lake to watch the several bird species, wildlife and different sceneries that surrounds the lake. This day is a refreshing day from the heavy game drive experiences in Lake Amboseli national park. Later, you shall retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive from Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara. From the lodge, you shall proceed to the Great Rift Valley floor and drive until Narok district. From here, you shall continue to Maasai Mara. Upon arrival, you shall check in the lodge, enjoy the hot lunch and later go for an afternoon game drive. The afternoon game drive shall offer you the opportunity to watch the several habitants within the park. With millions of wildlife animals; it is possible to spot the famous big 5-Elephants, lions, leopards, Rhinos and buffaloes within a single game drive. However for such a park like Maasai Mara, you can never be short of wildlife experiences. Maasai Mara has always been the number one most visited parks in Kenya; just expect the best game drive. Later, you shall return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Full day game drive
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall depart with your packed lunch to the park to have a wonderful full day game drive. There are spectacular experiences to look out for during your visit to the park. For example, the early morning game drive offers predator hunting experiences. Some of the wildlife to look out for include: Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, Rhinos, hyenas, antelopes, Maasai giraffes, warthogs, crocodiles, Oribi, hippopotamus, East African cheetah and other species. July to October is normally the best time to visit Maasai Mara. If you happen to come during this season, and depending on your luck, you shall be able to view the great migration. The great migration is a spectacular wildlife migration where millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra and Thomson gazelles are seen crossing from Tanzania’s Serengeti national park to Maasai Mara game reserve. Seeing the experience along Mara River is so insightful. You shall watch several predators like crocodiles trying to take advantage of the migration. As the wildebeest and several other animals make their way past the river, some of them are eaten up by crocodiles. You shall retire to the lodge, have dinner and take a deep sleep.
Maasai Mara to Nairobi
This is the last day of this safari. Early in the morning, you shall drive to the park for an early morning game drive while looking out for some of the missed wildlife experience opportunities and wildlife species. Later, you shall drive back to the lodge for breakfast. A 1 hour visit to the Maasai villages can be arranged, this is an optional activity. After breakfast, you shall drive back to Nairobi to mark the end of this wonderful 6 day safari in Kenya.
