7-Day Safari in Zambia Liuwa Plains and Kafue National Parks

Livingstone is a bustling town in Zambia which is known as a gateway to Victoria falls- a world-renowned wonder and part of the world heritage sites. River Zambezi has several waterfalls and among them is Ngonye Waterfalls, although this is not as spectacular as Victoria Falls, a visit to Ngonye waterfalls shall reveal insights and beautiful moments about this natural wonder. However, this tour is fully customizable, if you want to a visit to Victoria Falls, it is possible during the tour however you have to make a choice among the two wonderful falls. After a wonderful trip to either of falls and after having participated in several water sport activities available at the falls; you shall drive back to the lodge with wonderful memories.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to Liuwa plains via the Mongu and Kalabo. The park is relatively inaccessible since there are very few roads going to the park however with our fleet of 4x4 safari cars and highly qualified tour guides, we promise to take you to Liuwa plains national park. Upon arrival, you shall check in to the campsite, rest a bit and wait for the following day.

Liuwa Plains national park never disappoints in terms of wildlife. The park is relatively hard to reach and because of that, most parts are highly untouched. The park is inhabited several species in these wild plains of grassland. Oribi, thousands of wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo and popular carnivores like lions, wild dogs and hyena can be observed. Early in the morning, you shall leave the camping site for Liuwa plains national park. During the morning game drive, you are likely to see unexpected encounters. You see predators chasing their prey in the vast wilderness. You will observe several other experiences that are only possible in Liuwa plains national park. Later on, you shall drive back to the camping site for breakfast and relaxation, you shall energize enough and drive back to Liuwa plains national park for the rest of the game drives. After a wonderful game drive experience, you will retreat back to the camping site ready to relax and tell wildlife tales.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall leave this wonderful and untouched Liuwa national park for Kafue National park. You shall spend some time driving past the unoccupied beautiful landscapes of the countryside until you arrive in Kafue national park. Upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge and later refresh for the following day.

The best way to maximize your experience is to do 2 full day game drives around Kafue national park. Kafue National park is the oldest and largest national park in Zambia. It’s challenging to explore the park within 1 day however given enough time like 2 days; you shall be in a position to witness several experiences. Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to Kafue National park for a morning game drive experience. You shall retreat to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation and later, with packed lunch; you will drive back to the park for a wonderful game drive experience until dusk. Some of the wildlife experiences that you are likely to view include bush pig, monitor lizards, bush baby, Oribi, cheetah, hartebeest, leopards and others. Later, you will drive back to lodge for dinner and overnight.

This is another day to maximize your wildlife opportunities in Kafue National Park. During this day, you will visit another section of the park which is different from the one that you visited the previous day. You will enjoy the best of wildlife during this day as you will also be looking out for experiences that you missed out during the previous day. After a full day game drive, you will drive back to the lodge to prepare for the next day.

Depending on your departure point which maybe either Lusaka or Livingstone, our tour guide shall drive you to your final departure point to catch a flight back home. However, if you feel like having more fun, you can extend this safari to include more days.
