Day 1: Nairobi to Mount Kenya national park via sirimon gate and later oldMoses hut.

It is better to depart early in the morning. Early in the morning after breakfast, our company representative shall pick you up at your pickup point and drive you from Nairobi to the wonderful landscapes of the country side. Later, you shall arrive in Mount Kenya national park via the sirimon gate. Sirimon gate stands at 2650m above sea level. After going through all the entrance procedures, you shall take lunch and later you shall start hiking through the rainforest with a mountain crew who shall assist you during the hiking. Within the rainforest, you shall stand high possibilities of watching several wildlife species that inhabit within the forest. Some of the common species include Buffaloes, Elephants, antelopes, leopards, white tailed mongoose, giant forest hog and others. There are various opportunities of watching several birds within the park. The amazing hiking experiences starts at oldMoses camp and later settle at oldMoses hut. The journey from oldMoses camp to oldMoses hut(3300m) takes about 4 hours. The distance is about 9 km. upon arrival at oldMoses hut, you shall relax and enjoy the wonderful uncontrollable views of the surrounding. There are rare cases of altitude sickness, however a simple climbing preparation is necessary to ensure that you don’t experience like altitude sickness. Enjoy dinner, relax and sleep at oldMoses hut.

Day 2: old Moses hut-sirimon gate and later to Nairobi

Early in the morning, you shall start descending from old Moses hut to sirimon gate. Descending is always easier than ascending, expect to descent so fast to sirimon gate. At the gate, you shall clear with the park authorities and drive back to Nairobi to mark the end of this wonderful 2 day Mount Kenya national park safari in Kenya.
